Edinburgh’s Festivals 2024
It is that time of year, there is no escaping the hustle and bustle of the Edinburgh Festivals if you happen to be anywhere near Edinburgh City Centre. Edinburgh in August can be pretty overwhelming, particularly if all you want to do is get from A to B without being hounded by people with flyers or getting caught in a people jam trying to navigate North Bridge. Rather than avoiding the city centre, there are lots of ways you can enjoy the festivals, it just takes a little bit of planning.
We’ve pulled together all of the handy links for the Edinburgh festivals and the accessibility sections of their websites.
You can review the resources each of the festivals has in place from sensory backpacks to accessible performances with fewer people, lower audio and different lighting so that as many people as possible can enjoy their Edinburgh Festival experience.
