Celebrating 8 Years of Excellence

Edge Group Scotland Ltd turns eight this month - Happy Birthday to us 🥳

From our humble beginnings in Sam’s spare room to establishing a fully-fledged campus in Musselburgh a lot has happened in 8 years. We’re incredibly proud of what we have achieved since we started way back in 2016 but not as proud as we are of the young adults we have supported. Seeing the positive impact that the right support can have is revolutionary and it’s one of the things we’re most proud of.

Let’s Celebrate!

Throughout August we will be taking a look back and sharing some of our highlights over the years. We’ve put together a timeline of key events which you can look through on our 8 Years of Excellence page.

Celebrating Successes

We’ll be shining a light on the young people who have achieved greatness and sharing their views on our services as well as giving you a peek into what they have achieved, we love a success story!

Since 2016 we have…

  1. Supported over 110 (and counting) young adults who are autistic and have additional support needs (ASN)

  2. Established our campus at Eskmills in Musselburgh

  3. Acquired our very own fleet of minibuses - The Gruff Bus & The Jammie Bus

  4. Installed a dedicated teaching kitchen in our Day Services building

  5. Organised and supported over 65 fully respite adventure breaks and epic days out

  6. Jetted off on 8+ fully supported international holidays

  7. Piloted our dedicated Transitions Programme for ASN school leavers and Life Programme for a slightly older group

  8. Made our way through 2386845792 cups of coffee to keep us going!

Partners

We can’t forget our partners, those who have helped and provided unwavering support along the way. We work with a huge variety of different partners to help us provide support services for autistic and ASN young adults and we couldn’t do it without them. Watch this space in the coming weeks for more information about who we work with and why.

#TeamEdge

We’ve saved the best until last, our staff team. Our team is what gives us our “Edge.” They are the ones supporting our young adults through their transition to adulthood and independence. We’ll be sharing why our team is the best of the best and how they make a real difference in the lives of the young adults we support…there might be the odd blooper or 2 thrown in for good measure.

The past 8 years have been a rollercoaster but if we had to do it all again, we would. Keep an eye on our social platforms in the coming weeks as we share the highlights from Edge over the years. Don’t forget you can discover Edge through the years with our timeline of key events, check it out here.
